HumunApp is a digital healthcare platform that facilitates healthcare interactions and health information management within India. Depending on availability, the Platform may provide Personal Health Record (PHR) management, appointment scheduling, secure messaging, AI-assisted medical document summarisation, storage of prescriptions and diagnostic reports, healthcare provider discovery, notifications, and integrations with authorised laboratories, pharmacies, insurers, employers, or other healthcare ecosystem participants. Humun reserves the right to introduce, modify, suspend or discontinue any service without prior notice where required for operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
Users may upload, store, organise and retrieve their health information through the Platform. Users represent that all uploaded records are authentic and that they possess the legal authority to upload records relating to themselves or persons for whom they are authorised caregivers. Humun acts as a technology platform for secure storage and management of such records and does not verify the clinical accuracy of uploaded documents.
Appointment availability displayed on the Platform is based on information provided by healthcare professionals. While Humun makes reasonable efforts to present accurate schedules, appointments may be delayed or cancelled due to emergencies, unforeseen circumstances or provider availability.
Humun may utilize Artificial Intelligence to assist in summarising medical records, extracting structured information from uploaded documents, improving search capabilities and supporting administrative healthcare workflows. AI-generated content is intended solely for informational and workflow assistance. Such outputs may contain omissions or inaccuracies and must always be reviewed by a qualified Registered Medical Practitioner before being relied upon for diagnosis, treatment or any clinical decision. Users acknowledge that AI services do not replace professional medical judgement.
Healthcare professionals using the Platform agree to maintain valid professional registrations, comply with the National Medical Commission Act, applicable ethical standards and Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, maintain patient confidentiality, issue prescriptions only where clinically appropriate and within the scope of applicable law, and provide accurate professional information on their profiles. Doctors remain independently responsible for all medical opinions, diagnoses and prescriptions issued through or outside the Platform.
Patients shall provide accurate medical history to the best of their knowledge, disclose relevant allergies, medications and existing medical conditions where applicable, follow professional medical advice, and seek emergency care where required. Patients acknowledge that incomplete or inaccurate information may affect the quality of medical advice received.
HumunApp is not an emergency healthcare provider, ambulance service or hospital. The Platform must not be used during medical emergencies. In emergency situations, users should immediately call 108 or contact the nearest emergency medical service or hospital. Humun shall not be liable for any delay in obtaining emergency medical treatment resulting from reliance on the Platform.
Certain services offered through HumunApp may be chargeable. Users agree to pay all consultation fees, subscription charges, service charges, convenience fees and applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) before availing such services. Payments may be processed through RBI-compliant payment gateways using UPI, debit cards, credit cards, net banking or other authorised payment methods. Humun does not store complete payment card details. Payment processing is performed by authorised third-party payment service providers.
Cancellation and refund eligibility shall be governed by Humun's Refund Policy and the terms communicated at the time of booking. Refunds may not be available after a consultation has commenced or where services have already been rendered. Refund processing timelines depend upon the payment provider and banking institution. Humun reserves the right to reject fraudulent refund requests.
Humun is committed to protecting users' personal and health information in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and other applicable Indian laws. Personal data is collected only for lawful purposes including user registration, appointment management, healthcare delivery, customer support, platform security and regulatory compliance.
By registering on HumunApp or uploading medical information, users provide their consent for the processing of their personal information for the purposes described in the Privacy Notice. Users may withdraw consent where legally permissible; however, certain healthcare services may become unavailable if essential processing activities can no longer be performed.

Following expiry of applicable retention periods, information may be securely deleted, anonymised or archived in accordance with Humun's internal retention policy and applicable law.

Humun may integrate with diagnostic laboratories, pharmacies, hospitals, insurers, employers, payment gateways and other service providers to facilitate healthcare services. Such third-party services remain subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Humun is not responsible for the availability, quality or accuracy of services independently provided by third parties.
Users shall not upload malicious software, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with platform operations, scrape content, use automated bots without permission, upload illegal or misleading content, infringe intellectual property rights, or engage in activities that compromise the security, integrity or availability of HumunApp.
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their own devices by using updated operating systems, antivirus software, secure internet connections and strong passwords. Users must immediately report suspected phishing attempts, credential compromise or other security incidents to Humun.
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable Indian law, Humun Private Limited, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates and technology partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential damages arising from the use of the Platform. Humun does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of services and shall not be responsible for losses resulting from internet failures, device malfunctions, third-party service interruptions or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the consulting healthcare professional.
The Platform is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. Except where expressly required by law, Humun makes no warranty regarding uninterrupted availability, accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Healthcare information, AI-assisted outputs and third-party content should not be treated as a substitute for professional medical advice.
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Humun Private Limited, its directors, employees and affiliates against claims, losses, liabilities, penalties, legal costs and expenses arising from breach of these Terms, misuse of the Platform, violation of applicable laws or infringement of third-party rights.
Humun may suspend, restrict or permanently terminate any account where there is suspected fraud, identity misuse, security threats, repeated policy violations, unlawful conduct or regulatory requirements. Humun may preserve records where required by applicable law. Users may request closure of their accounts; however, information required for legal, regulatory or audit purposes may be retained for the applicable retention period.
Humun shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, cyberattacks, power failures, internet outages, strikes, governmental actions or other force majeure events.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, including the Indian Contract Act, 1872, the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and other applicable healthcare regulations.
The parties shall endeavour to resolve disputes amicably through discussions. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be referred to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be the city in which Humun Private Limited has its registered office unless otherwise agreed. Subject to arbitration, the competent courts having jurisdiction over the registered office of Humun shall have jurisdiction.
Users may submit complaints relating to privacy, platform services or account issues through the designated Grievance Officer. Humun shall acknowledge and process grievances in accordance with applicable legal requirements and internal procedures.
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Failure by Humun to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of its rights. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Humun and the user concerning use of the Platform and may be amended from time to time by publishing an updated version on the Platform.
